MEDIA EVALUATION

• My final piece is an inspired Alien Comic Strip.The comic is about the landing of a marine squad on an unknown planet and in the time they investigate one of the marine finds an unhatched xenomorph egg but in his unlucky way he looks over the egg and he gets impregnated. The Alien movies inspired me to create this piece but mostly I used the official FANDOM as research. Skills that I like is the flexibility that Photoshop gave me to create this and the strengths are the small references to the show JoJo's Bizarre Adventures.
• I planned with a raw version of it on a blank paper and after that scanned it into Photoshop, it helped me with my time management and this made me finish in time cause I knew how to keep it simple but also appealing.
• I used Photoshop in the entirely of my comic strip , when I started I used a black pencil to make a very raw version of it after I scanned it into Photoshop I used the pen tool and the eraser , I used a multiple lines in one way to give a moving effect to it and gave extra attention to the little references like the face and the letters next to the egg.
• I researched about the Alien movies(like clips and wiki information) the marine normal clothes in the movies and how the egg looks like and also research a little about JoJo's Bizarre Adventures(like the effects and the form of the faces), I think the research went as smooth as possible and it influenced my work in a very good way.
• I think the problems that I encountered in my comic strip was the background colors and the line closing, the colors wouldn't fill the entire space I wanted and I fixed by using a bigger and harder pen tool to fill the blank spaces and with the line closing I would have a problem that an unwanted space would fill with the color of the space I filled and I needed to close the space so I would not have this problem anymore and I overcome it with patience and repetition.
• I think it went well with the product and I'm proud with it , and I completed in a clean way and I think it could go into an actual comic (but a fan made one cause the copyright will be ginormous) and it communicate my ideas very well cause it's exactly how I imagine it to be.
• I think the lines were a pretty messy but I fixed it after and the shape of the gun were weird and it wasn't what I wanted and I think cause I didn't use the line tool to make the gun straight.
• If I could repeat it again I'll change the shape of the gun, color scheme and maybe do more that one page if I had the time cause I wanted to make it look like and actual manga(Japanese comics).
